Editor's note
A single-center, single-arm observational cohort of 50 — no control group, so regression to the mean and concurrent care changes cannot be excluded, and echocardiographic endpoints in unblinded settings carry measurement bias. That said, the direction and magnitude align with the randomized SUMMIT program, and the multiplicity control is more rigorous than typical for real-world series. Best read as corroborating evidence, not an independent demonstration.
Plain-language abstract
In 50 patients with obesity-related heart failure with preserved ejection fraction followed for about six months after starting tirzepatide in routine care, heart muscle mass, diastolic function, symptoms, walking distance, and cardiac blood markers all improved.
