This propensity score-matched study associates concurrent tirzepatide and biologic initiation with improved disease-activity and patient-reported outcomes in obese psoriatic arthritis. With only 31 treated patients and a matched-control rather than randomized design, the findings are promising but should be regarded as preliminary.
Plain-language abstract
In obese patients with psoriatic arthritis, starting tirzepatide alongside biologic therapy was associated with greater weight loss, lower inflammation, and better patient-reported outcomes at 6 months compared with biologics alone. The small sample and non-randomized design temper the conclusions.
