This is a preclinical study in which kisspeptin-54 was directly administered to diabetic mice and applied to cultured kidney endothelial cells, with reported effects on barrier function and markers of renal injury. As mechanistic animal and in-vitro work, the evidence is early-stage and not yet tested in humans. It is a genuine kisspeptin intervention study, so it is relevant, though findings should be read as preliminary.
