Researchers matured 240 immature eggs in different concentrations of GHRP-6 and compared them with standard culture fluids. The best concentration was 75 ng/mL, which was associated with maturation rates of 70% after one day and 80% after two days, higher than the comparison fluids. However, when they measured the activity of genes linked to the deeper, cytoplasmic side of egg maturation, GHRP-6 did not significantly boost them, and it did not clearly improve cytoplasmic maturation even though eggs showed an earlier sign of nuclear maturation. So GHRP-6 helped one aspect of maturation but not another. This was a lab study on eggs; it did not test fertilization, embryo quality, or pregnancy.
