This is a small, open-label, single-centre study of a multi-ingredient scalp regimen for mild-to-moderate dandruff and seborrheic-type flaking, and its design places firm limits on what it can tell us about GHK-Cu specifically. The tested products combined a hydroxy-acid exfoliating scrub with a serum containing copper tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) plus witch hazel, hesperidin, hyaluronic acid, and pea protein - so any benefit is attributable to the whole regimen, not the peptide alone. Over 15 days the researchers report statistically significant improvements: adherent scalp flaking fell about 61%, scalp hydration rose about 76%, and measured hair density and thickness increased, with all participants reporting satisfaction. Because there was no control or placebo group and the study was open-label with a short 15-day window and multiple active ingredients, the results are susceptible to expectation effects, regression to the mean, and confounding between components. No serious adverse events were reported. Read this as preliminary, real-world tolerability-and-satisfaction data on a combination product, not as evidence for GHK-Cu on its own.

This study tested a two-part scalp-care regimen for adults with mild to moderate dandruff: a scrub containing exfoliating hydroxy acids to remove flakes, and a serum containing copper tripeptide-1 (a form of GHK-Cu) along with witch hazel, hesperidin, hyaluronic acid, and pea protein for hydration and scalp health. Everyone in the study used the products and was assessed on days 1, 8, and 15; there was no separate comparison group using a placebo. Using standard measures, the researchers found meaningful improvements by day 15: adherent scalp flaking dropped by about 61%, scalp hydration improved by about 76%, and measured hair density and thickness increased by roughly 12% and 25%. More participants moved from having a dry, flaky scalp to a normal one, and all reported being satisfied with the treatment. No safety problems were reported. Important limitations: this was a short, 15-day study with no control group, and it tested a product with several active ingredients together, so the effect of GHK-Cu on its own cannot be separated out, and improvements could partly reflect expectation. Larger, controlled studies would be needed to draw firmer conclusions.
